The Turkish coast runs from the Aegean to the eastern Mediterranean: Bodrum and Fethiye in the west, Kaş, Antalya and Alanya in the south. Summers are long and hot, there is a wide choice of new builds with a pool and shared grounds, and Alanya has had a settled German-speaking community for decades.

Foreign nationals can acquire property in Türkiye, for most nationalities on the same terms as residents. Ownership is transferred with the title deed, the tapu, at the land registry office, and an official valuation report is required beforehand. Buying a property above a set minimum value makes it possible to apply for Turkish citizenship.
