Florida is the best known route for European buyers: Cape Coral, Naples and the Gulf coast, plus the Keys. Further north the Outer Banks, and inland the Great Lakes and the lake districts of Michigan and Minnesota.

Foreign nationals may buy without restriction; the process via escrow and title insurance differs from Europe but is well established.

A note on the official reference: there is no nationwide land register — each county keeps its own. We therefore ask for state, county and the parcel number (APN).
